Bio
Miriam Nöske is a German American artist and currently lives and works in New York. She studied Combined Media at Chelsea College of Art, UAL London, UK and holds a Bachelor’s and Master’s Degree in Studio Art from the Berlin University of the Arts, Germany. She was awarded an Erasmus scholarship for a residency at the Academy of Fine Arts in Vienna in 1999 where she worked in the sculpture class of artist Michelangelo Pistoletto. Miriam Nöske graduated with an MFA in Studio Art from the California Institute of the Arts, Valencia, CA in 2004.
Her artwork has been shown internationally and was included in select group exhibitions at Giant Robot (Los Angeles, 2024), the Gallery at NYSS (New York, 2021), Wallspace (Los Angeles, 2015), Hudson | Linc (West Hollywood, 2014), LA Mart (Los Angeles, 2013), CMU Art Center (ChiangMai, 2012), ACG Gallery (Athens, 2011). Select solo exhibitions include Double Feature at Kristi Engle Gallery (Los Angeles 2010), Metropolitan Times at Moorpark College Gallery (2010) and Reflecting City at Sea and Space Explorations (Los Angeles, 2008). Her work is in the collection of the American College of Greece (Athens) and in various private collections in Los Angeles, New York and Berlin.
